These are the prices we paid for our off grid system. All products are purchased with the $US which goes up and down like a yoyo. These prices are for the main components of our system.

Solar Panels

Batteries

24 x 2.13 volts dc, 400 amp/hr, C10, total price: $6360 NZD

I can arrange the import of Batteries of any amp hour. The AGM Batteries we import have a 2 year manufactures warranty and if looked after should last up to 10 years plus.
Typically with all customs, freight, insurance, GST, etc,
24 x 400amp/h, 2.13 vdc, C10, batteries cost approx $265 each delivered to your address. 24 x 500amp/h, 2.13 vdc, C10, batteries are approx $290 each delivered. 12 x 2.13 vdc, 800 amp/hr, C10, batteries cost approx $525 each. The Batteries have a Declaration of Conformity as required by Energy Safety NZ. The manufacturer has ISO 9001 : 2008 for the Sale and Manufacture of Batteries issued by CERTIFICATION INTERNATIONAL (UK) LTD.
50% of purchased is required on acceptance of quote, this is a requirement that protects me from false orders, but does require a leap of faith from the buyer. I am an Address Verified Member of Trade Me and you will be kept informed as to what stage your purchase is e.g. manufacture, shipped, arrival in NZ, etc, with photos, documentation, etc.
Generally it can take up to 6-8 weeks for delivery depending on shipping times.
Balance of funds are payable on written documentation that goods have landed in New Zealand. "Normally Auckland"
Shipping costs are high for small quantities so 12 batteries would be the minimum number, but I could make up an order from several enquires.

A typical annual bill for grid power is $3000.00 ($250 a month). If you were to borrow $20,000 from the bank for an Off Grid solar energy system, the interest payments, at 6% would be approx $1200 per year. I know there are other factors to consider but I still like the "up yours factor"
